Can you feel it coursing through your veins, apprentice?
The apprentice could. It was like a tingling sensation threating to overrun his senses, coursing through his body. He could not tell whether his veins were the carrier or there were other channels at work, he was too busy fighting the urge to surrender to this. But he knew he had to focus on his master’s voice yet the urge was growing.
This shivering sensation, alternating cold with warmth, threatened his ability to reason and was quickly swerving out of control.
You are fighting it! the master’s calm voice could no longer calm him. You mustn’t. Embrace it. Hold it tight. Focus.
His fear outgrew his reason and he dared not let go. His mater could no longer tame the voices in his head that whispered words of fear. Now he was trying to meddle with this he could not control. He had to let go.
The feeling was growing stronger and now his body was truly shivering. For him it mattered not, he had been shivering all along just that now he felt his control failing. This force growing from within was about to burst but he had no idea about the outcome. This lack of knowledge scared him to the point where his trust in the master broke.
He could no longer hear the voice whispering the advice of millennium-old wisdom. He could not be the container for that wisdom. Fear won.
Then … he shattered. This force burst from within, cracking his dry skin, pushing his flesh and bone through it out into the open, reaching out to fill the entire space between apprentice and master with a glass-like matter, red with the young man’s innards.
A container that refuses to be filled with knowledge is useless and therefore will break. the master’s voice was impervious to the tragedy of his apprentice’s death. It is no tragedy when such a container becomes dust.

Lately I’ve been thinking
That forever is just a lie
‘Cause I’ve remembered all the pain I felt
When my only true love died
But last night I got the feeling
There was a spirit in the air
I lit a candle and I held my breath
I swear I saw you standing there
You spoke to me in whispers
And I melted at what I heard
There were echoes from the other side
In each and every word

Said love is undying
True love never dies
We’ll meet up again
‘Cause love has no end
Love is undying
I’m so glad I saw you
I shivered inside
When you closed your eyes
But love is undying

And last night I dreamed a dream of you
Where you took me to the other side
You looked so happy, not a trace of tears
And I could not help but cry
You said I wasn’t ready
To tell my world goodbye
But you’d wait for me until the end of time
And forever is not a lie

Love is undying
True love never dies
We’ll meet up again
‘Cause love has no end
No love is undying
I’m so glad I saw you
I shivered inside
When you said goodbye
But love is undying
Love is undying
Undying
Undying

Love is undying
True love never dies
We’ll meet up again
‘Cause love has no end
No love is undying
I’m so glad I saw you
I shivered inside
When you said goodbye
But love is undying
Love is undying
There’s no denying
You’re heaven sent
You came and you went
But love is undying
Love is undying
Love is undying
Undying
Love is undying
Love is undying

It doesn’t take much to let me know that there is magic around. The light of the moon, a soft breeze filled with enticing scents, clouds shape like mythical creatures … everything the speaks for our one Mother Nature. Most people consider our Mother to have forgotten us … but nothing could be further from the truth. She is always around, watching over her children even as they harm her, choosing the artificial new ways over nature’s nurturing. I fear that slowly I am also drifting away, losing myself into everyday troubles in ways I never thought I will succumb to. Yet I always wake up to the silent music of my dreams which reminds me that life is so much more than what we can touch.

In those moments I open my eyes to a whole new universe which sends everything else adrift. In this universe higher powers are at work, things unseen that weave the softest thread which leads me through a maze of thoughts, ideas and imagination. Yet imagination may not be the proper way to describe this as the unreal switches places with the real, but still quenching the thirst for the magic touch. Here I can drink from the Fountain of Youth, which rejuvenates my wounded spirit and cleans it from the dust of the mundane.

There is no evil to fear here, nor good to strive for as the dichotomy is unknown. Here things simply exist, just as the law of Mother Nature dictates. They exist without labels or prejudice, under the manifold meanings they will unravel in time. Each layer needs more than a glance to reveal its secrets to those brave enough to open their mind and empty it of meaningless notions such as good and bad. The wind is as much a consciousness as are the trees, flowers and insects.

Here we all are one, connected by the invisible thread – an inseparable link that contains all life. Together we are strong, together we live in harmony. As we shed the cuffs that cut down our freedom, our wings grow once more as they did many winters ago. The wind lifts us higher and higher, drunk with freedom and immortality.

Where does the hungry soul turn to when all lights go out? The mind craves for what the body cannot offer, hunger’s tentacles squeezing every little ounce of imagination from the world around. Nightmares of dreamless land creep closer and closer. It is a prison of thought, one which spells out the trap of predictability and superficiality.
The spirit cannot soar without a challenge, without a touch of magic that comes from looking farther than the eyes can see. Demand more, ask more, don’t linger into the world you know. The things you know will always be there but once you’ve squeezed out the knowledge, there is nothing left but a carcass blocking your way to evolve into a better you.
Don’t linger ….

To everyone’s eyes he looked like a young man, but his appearance could trick anyone into considering him as such. Indeed, a neat trick this was for he was much older that his skin was telling. A deeper look into his eyes would have unveiled a sea of years and each thought that crossed his wandering mind only added more and more. But then again not many would dare to glance behind those eyes and try to see beyond the easy grasp of the appearances.

All except her. When the shadows of the night embraced the cold walls of the city, her shimmering shape would descend from a dream and bring her light into his dreamless nights. Then their dreams combined would be forged in the fires of his eyes and cooled into the waters of her tears, hammered to take the shape of their desires.

They had no need for words then, but words came later, all by themselves, erupting when they truly wanted to share more than abstract ideas. And so … they became one.

In the silence of the night they had no need for names, but when the dawn broke the silence, blinded by the sun they had to call out to each other.

And so he became Nightwind, as the night that gave him spirit and the wind that chilled the trees just as she became Alustriel, the lady of the moon, daughter of the stars and princess of the green forests.

But only until the sun would set again …

Vrajitorul intra in transa, in timpulcareia intra in legatura cu regele Infernului.

Asemanatoare numerologiei.

Aceasta metoda era intens practicata in Roma antica.

Preotul tinea un sarpe in scorbura unui copac.

ASTROMANTIA – ghicirea dupa pozitia astrelor

AUSTROMANTIE – Divinatie ce are la baza studierea vanturilor si interpretarea formei norilor. Asemanatoare aeromantiei.

ALTE PRACTICI MANTICE: ghicitul in scrum de tigara, in fum, in zat de cafea,in frunze de ceai, in foc, in albus de ou, in nisip, in flacara lumanarii, in ceara sau plumb topit aruncate in apa rece.

CARTEA UMBRELOR – (“Book of Shadows”) Termen ce desemneaza o carte de ritualuri, retete, reguli, legi si alte documente magice importante in arta vrajitoriei.

CHIROMANTIE / CHIROGNOMONIA / CHIROLOGIA – cunoastereacaracterului oamenilor dupa liniile si formele palmelor.

Aceasta metoda de divinatie era raspandita in Roma si in Egipt.

Varianta a divinatiei.

Procedeu raspandit in lumea araba.

GIROMANTIE – Deriva din grecescul “giros” (cerc) si “manteia” (divinatie).Metoda de divinatie in care divinatorul mergea in jurul unui cerc pe care erau inscriptionate litere pana cand incepea sa ameteasca. Literele in dreptul carora divinatorul cadea sau directia in care acesta se prabusea crea un mesaj profetic.

GRAFOLOGIA – Studiul scrisului de mana.

HIDROMANTIA – ghicirea in apa, dupa cercuri, valuri, limpezime, colorit.

I CHING – straveche practica chinezeasca “cartea schimbarilor” , ce descrie 64 dehexagrame (constand in combinatii de cate sase linii continue __ sau intrerupte – -) folosite in practica divinatorie. Raspunsurile oferite de I-Ching implica cunoasterea unei profunde filosofii chinezesti.

METEOROMANTIA – interpretarea fenomenelor atmosferice

METOPOSCOPIA – interpretarea semnelor fruntii

Cand indica o descoperire (a unui obiect cautat sau a raspunsului asteptat), el trece in miscare circulara, fie in sensul acelor de ceasornic, fie invers. Nu numai amplitudinea miscarii are valoare informationala, ci si directia.

PIROMANTIE – Forma a divinatiei in foc.

XILOMANTIE – Divinatie cu ajutorul lemnului, practicat mai ales in tarile slave.

“Do you cling to the past … or can you see through the pain?” he did not remember where the question came from but now, as the assassin sat alone in the night with the fire being his only friend, it came back to haunt him. He prodded the fire back into flame, the bright eruption casting a strange dance of shadows all around him. His lips curled into a light smile, watching this strange game that light and shadow played near his bed roll and wondered about their nature … unwilling to give in to the question.

Memories, dreams, wishes and hopes, all descended mercilessly on his soul, devouring mind and soul to their very core, leaving a scorched man behind them. Something had to stop the onslaught, he pondered, something had to. But then, this thought rose. “Can you see through the pain?” he sighed to himself. Before him, the fire continued to consume the wood, emanating warmth. Inside him, memories we consuming all that he held dear … emanating pain.

This cannot go on, he decided. All these things must be cast aside, I have to see through them. He started to pick at the dirt underneath his boots, as if the solution was buried there, as if it were a treasure. “To me, it is a treasure” he wrinkled his nose at the senseless action he was taking. “Why is it that in moments of hardship I seek sanctuary in the least sensible and least helpful course of action? Is self-destruction so deep in my nature that I abandon myself to it, giving in at the moment of defeat?”

But he was stronger than that. “I am stronger than that” he stood resolute.

“Then why do you cling to that which harms you so obviously?” a voice in his head demanded.

“I forgot you were here” he murmured, realizing his inquirer was none other that his trusty long blade. Aryadne was a blade, but nonetheless a sentient one. Ever since a confounded mage bestowed sentience upon her, they had been one mind, in a sense. She could touch his every thought, see his every dream and understand every idea.

“No you didn’t … you were hoping I could give you an answer, a solution”. He balanced the retort in his head and found it true … for that he decided to answer with silence.

“I have none to give” Aryadne continue “save for this: it is up to you to let go”.

Nightwind poked at the fire again.

The modern pagan calendar bears many differences from the various calendars of the old earth religions. The Celtic cultures, the norse cultures and the descendant germanic cultures all had their own variations and their true meaning and composition is unsure today, lacking credible sources.

However, the modern reenactments such as Wicca, have built their own calendar breathing new life and meaning into some old ideas. Here is basic pagan modern calendar along with the calendar’s festivals:

Feb 2 (night of 1/2)

Imbolc

this holiday is dedicated to springcoming and to the goddess Brighid in the Celtic tradition. In the Wiccan tradition, it celebrates the element of fire (a symbol of the increasing power of the sun) and is dedicated to the God. Also, it is considered an omen of the year to follow. Some pagans considers this to be the New Year.

March 21 (night of 20/21)

Ostara

this holiday celebrates the spring equinox and the victory of light over darkness as now the daytime equals in length the nighttime. In Germanic tradition, it celebrates the goddess Eostre. In Wiccan tradition, it is a holiday of the Goddess and also represents the victory of life over death and the rebirth of nature.

May 1 (night of 30/1)

Beltane

the summer-coming is one of the old Celtic and Gaelic holidays still preserved in many places. Both day and night were traditionally spent in rituals meant to bring prosperity and good crops over the summer. Modern Wiccans also include rituals meant to strengthen and purify love.

June 21 (night of 20/21)

Litha

the midsummer holiday is a holiday of the Sun (thus fire). The name comes from the Germanic traditions and it means gentle as the breeze of the summer. It celebrates the supremacy of light, as now day is the longest.

Aug 2 (night of 1/2)

Lughnasadh

also known as Lammas, it is the celebration of the first harvest and as such it is accompanied by offering a small part of the harvest (usually represented by corn bread and/or sweet bread to the God and Goddess as thanks for the harvest.

Sept 24 (night of 23/24)

Mabon

the second harvest may occur anywhere between 21 and 24th of Septemeber and it is very similar to Lughnasadh, with the exception that now the offering usually consists of fruits.

Nov 1 (night of 31/1)

Samhain

The third harvest is also another of the old Celtic holidays and the one who survived the longest, being celebrated well after the end of the Middle Ages. In modern times, the Celtic revival movement and the modern Wiccans also celebrate the souls of those who have passed on, much in the spirit of the magic of Allhallows’ Eve but quite different from the modern Halloween. For many pagans, Samhain is considered as the New Year holiday of the calendar.

Dec 22 (night of 21/22)

Yule

the midwinter night is deeply rooted in Germanic traditions and is still celebrated with a variety of customs. Modern Wiccans celebrate the supremacy of night as it falls in the winter solstice when night is longest. This holiday symbolizes peace and is accompanied by various rituals for a peaceful transition to spring. Giving gifts to close friends and family as well as offerings to the God and Goddess is a common practice. In the Norse pagan traditions, Yule is also the New Year.
